As a NYC engagement photographer, one of my favorite locations in New York City for engagement shoots is Dumbo, Brooklyn! This charming neighborhood offers stunning views of the NYC skyline and a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for a romantic photoshoot. As an NYC engagement photographer, I recently had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful rainy day engagement session in Dumbo for Hayley & John.
We also stopped by a local bar, The Binc, and hunted for christmas lights to add some holiday cheer to the photos.

“We met 5 years ago in Wisconsin when I was a senior in college and he was getting his Master’s. I was bartending, thought he was cute, started charging him less than I charged his friend, he got my number and now here we are! We moved to NYC a little over a year ago for work (I am a lawyer and he is an engineer) and we got engaged on 8/25/23.”

Of course, if the forecast looks excessively rainy, it may not even be safe to continue, in which case I do allow for a complimentary reschedule with advance notice. But rest assured, during light drizzle, I am always able to capture beautiful photographs.
I always recommend seeking shelter in a cozy cafe or bar like The Binc.
