Eloping in Babylon, New York - Long Island Elopement Photographer

Planning an elopement on Long Island? Babylon, New York could be the perfect place! Located on the south shore of Long Island, Babylon is a beautiful town for an intimate and romantic Long Island elopement. As a Long Island elopement photographer, I have some tips for the best places to elope in Babylon!

Many couples are beginning to do things in a non-traditional way and elope for so many reasons - for some it may be finances, and for others simply because a big wedding isn't their vibe.

I want you to know your elopement can still be BEAUTIFUL and MEMORABLE.

Whether you want to exchange vows on the nearby beaches, parks, or town hall, there are plenty of options for your Babylon, New York wedding. Read on for all the tips and advice you need to plan the perfect elopement in this charming Long Island town.

Where to Elope

Babylon is a popular town for elopements and intimate weddings, because of the local gazebo. However, I would like to suggest exchanging your vows elsewhere - it seems like an easy choice but Sometimes the cars whizzing by in the background isn't the prettiest for your photos. It is however a good choice if you want to have more than 5 guests, and we can always head somewhere else for photos after.

Here are two different suggestions, coming from a Long Island elopement photographer!

The first is for nature and sunset lovers. You can elope at Robert Moses Beach or Hecksher State Park, both are only a 20-minute drive!

You can exchange your vows under the beautiful sunset, take romantic portraits on the beach, and then we can head back into town for some "night-on-the-town" celebrating flash photos!

My next suggestion is on the steps of the old town hall, or in front of the Babylon Municipal Building! The historic brick buildings are beautiful for a "civil wedding" vibe.

After the Vows

Why should the fun end just because you're not having a big wedding? After you exchange vows, there are so many fun places to celebrate in Babylon! The Brixton is a gorgeous local restaurant where we can head for food + drinks and take some fun flash photos.

Other bars you can head to after your elopement are: Barrique & Molto Vino.

I recently had my own couples photos taken at Barrique (pictured above) by Thalia Nino!

The options in Babylon are honestly endless. One thing I love about being a Long Island photographer, is the MANY options when you need to change up the scenery.

The best part is - you can elope almost ANYWHERE! Are you from the east end? Let's get you hitched in Montauk then. Babylon is a popular spot, however, you can have a memorable elopement in many towns on Long Island.

If you are planning an elopement or intimate wedding on Long Island and you are looking for a photographer to capture your big day, I would love to chat. As a Long Island photographer, I offer more than just beautiful photos: I help with location scouting, timeline assistance, and even outfit recommendations for engagement photos.

My approach is documentary-style.

I absolutely guide you through portraits and important moments such as first looks, but I allow many moments to happen naturally, capturing your wedding day in an honest way.

This means that your moments are captured the way that they are actually happening, steering away from "creating" moments or faking things. No staged moments, only real memories.
