Adding Film To Your Engagement Session
For this lovely Avalon Park engagement session in Stonybrook, New York, my couple added on point and shoot film to their package! It was an absolute blast capturing these nostalgic and romantic photos for them. Tara & Steven got engaged here at Avalon, so the location was very special to them. But they didnβt have any photos from the proposal! So what better way to honor the place they got engaged then by shooting some nostalgic film photos?
Check out some highlights below to see the difference between the film & digital! If you are looking for a candid & romantic photographer who shoots point and shoot film for your wedding, engagement, or session you can inquire with me here!
Film
Digital
Using a 35mm film camera is a nostalgic and deliberate process that pays homage to the roots of photography. First, I select the film type, considering factors such as ISO and desired grain. I personally like to use Fujifilm 400 most of the time. Loading the film into the camera requires precision and patience, ensuring it is securely wound onto the spool. Each frame is a careful composition, as there are only a limited number before the roll must be rewound. Shooting film truly forces you to slow down and give thought to each and every photo.
