Beautiful NYC Rooftop Elopement and Wedding Locations

Are you looking for the perfect to say your vows in NYC? As a NYC elopement photographer, all of my packages offer location scouting to take some of the pressure of planning off of you. In this blog post, I will be sharing some of the most stunning NYC rooftop locations that would make the perfect setting for your saying your vows or taking photos.

NYC Rooftop Elopement

TOP OF THE ROCK

Top of the Rock is one of the most iconic spots in NYC and is a stunning place to elope. Perched atop Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock offers unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline, providing a breathtaking backdrop. On a clear day, you can take in the breathtaking sights of Central Park, the Hudson River, and Brooklyn Bridge. The night skyline is even more impressive with the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and One World Trade Center standing tall against the twinkling lights. Eloping is so easy at Top of the Rock! Just get an express pass for immediate entry, no permits or permissions required! Note: you will have to purchase a pass for everyone in your party, including you, your partner, any photographers, videographers or assistants they may bring. If you choose to have any loved ones accompany you, they will also need to purchase an express pass.

While sunset is absolutely gorgeous, it is very crowded at that time of day. Instead, I suggest coming about 3 hours before sunset. You can truly get beautiful photos at any time of day. Just be patient in shooting around people - but with lower crowds earlier in the day, it is much easier. I also suggest eloping on a Monday, instead of a weekend. (This goes for pretty much any NYC elopement location.)

HUDSON YARDS LOFT

Hudson Yards Lofts is a stunning venue located in New York City, with gorgeous rooftop views of downtown Manhattan. It has a stunning indoor space for getting ready as well as a rooftop, for perfect for portraits and saying your vows. With its breathtaking views of the city skyline and the New Yorker Hotel looming in the background, it's hard to imagine a more beautiful setting for an intimate rooftop elopement. Booking around sunset time is ideal, since you will have this location to yourself and privacy will not be an issue. You can choose to purchase a gorgeous floral arrangement, or allow the beauty of the NYC skyline speak for itself.

If you want to view a gallery of a rooftop elopement shoot at Hudson Yards Loft, I photographed one in summer of 2022! You can check it out here.

If you're looking for an unforgettable view of NYC while saying "I Do," then look no further than the Archer Hotel Spyglass Rooftop Bar. Located in Midtown Manhattan, this rooftop spot offers panoramic views of the city skyline. From its terrace, you can take in breathtaking views of iconic landmarks such as the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. The rooftop is also equipped with cozy fire pits and lounge seating, making it an ideal spot for a romantic micro wedding. You can have up to 8 guests! (So 10 attendees including you and your partner.) Prices range from $2,000 to $3,500. The best part of this location is it’s a bar, so after you say I do you can grab some drinks to celebrate :)

EMPIRE STORES ROOFTOP

The Empire Stores Rooftop is a breathtaking location for couples looking to elope in New York City. The rooftop is located in the Brooklyn waterfront, and provides an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline. This space has been around for over 130 years, with its buildings being used for storage purposes until 2001.

The view of the city is simply stunning from the Empire Stores Rooftop. You get amazing views of the Brooklyn Bridge, which frames the Manhattan skyline perfectly.

There is no permit fee for this location, but because of that you can not guarantee privacy. The best time to utilize this space is in the early morning, around sunrise, to minimize the amount of onlookers.

Alternatively you can find a more private, nearby spot to say your vows and head to the rooftop to take photos at any time of day. As long as you are willing to be patient and wait for the right moment while shooting around people, you can get some incredible photos. Bonus tip: Jane’s Carousel and Pebble Beach nearby are also beautiful spots to take photos!
