As an destination wedding photographer, I was so excited to travel to Scranton, PA for this unique engagement session at a bar and speakeasy. The atmosphere of the bar and speakeasy was the perfect setting for both the flash and ambient light photos of the shoot. I'm thrilled to share with you the photos from this Scranton, PA engagement session.

Will is an airline pilot for Delta (my absolute favorite airline!) and Amanda is a wedding videographer who loves to travel - so pretty much the perfect match.

Scranton, Pennsylvania is a city with a rich and fascinating history. Once known as the Electric City, it is home to a vibrant arts and cultural scene. At night, its streets come alive with an inviting atmosphere and plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to explore. For those coming from New York City, Scranton is just a short two-hour drive away. We started off the engagement session at a vintage bar, 16th Ward.

After taking some photos and warming up with delicious cocktails, we headed outside and braved the rain and chilly weather with our clear umbrellas. The rain made it so much more romantic! We took photos at the Ritz Theatre before heading to out next destination.

Next, we headed to Madame Jenny's, a speakeasy located through a "secret" passageway at Ale Mary's in downtown Scranton.

The romantic atmosphere created a perfect backdrop for the couple's engagement photos! With its classic wooden bar, vintage chandeliers, and brick walls adorned with old-timey art and photography, the bar provided the perfect vintage charm that make these photos feel so nostalgic.

They laughed, and kissed and fed each other popcorn. It was a great night! Their engagement session in Scranton was a unique experience, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
