NYC Elopement at Central Park Bethesda Terrace + Intimate Wedding Reception at Palma NYC

β€œLatrell and I are from Sydney, Australia. We are flying over to NYC to have our small wedding/elopement with our close friends and family. We got engaged Aug of 2022 in Paris and have been together for 6 years now. Our vision for the day and photography is just to be super relaxed, fun, a bit old school and just to have photos of raw candid moments together and with our loved ones. (with a classic New York twist)”

Alycia & Latrell made the trip all the way from Australia to New York City for their elopement at the iconic Bethesda Terrace! Following their stunning ceremony, we took portraits all throughout Central Park and West Village, and they ended the afternoon with a lunch reception at Palma West Village! It was an incredibly gorgeous day and I was so honored to capture this once in a lifetime trip and special day for them.

Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, New York City, holds a rich history dating back to the mid-19th century when the park's designers, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, envisioned it as a place of respite for city dwellers. The terrace overlooks the picturesque Lake and is famous for its intricate carvings, grand staircase, and stunning views of the surrounding greenery. The centerpiece of the terrace is the Bethesda Fountain, featuring the Angel of the Waters statue designed by Emma Stebbins in 1873. Visitors can admire the architecture, stroll along the nearby paths, or simply relax and take in the beauty of one of Central Park's most iconic spots.
