The Bayard Cutting Arboretum is a stunning Long Island estate that has a rich history. It was founded by William Bayard Cutting and his wife Olivia in 1887, who wanted to create a park-like environment for the public to enjoy. The Arboretum consists of a variety of gardens and woodlands and spans across over 800 acres of land. Itβs filled with diverse plant life, including American and English trees, as well as an abundance of wildlife.
The Arboretum is home to many unique features, such as its signature Long Island Pine Barrens landscape and its beautiful formal gardens. There is a permit fee of $250 for the use of their grounds - which you can obtain here!
