Bold Vintage Wedding Reception at One If By Land, West Village NYC

Bold Vintage Wedding Reception at One If By Land, West Village NYC - featured in Anti-Bride

“Alex and I met during the pandemic on a dating app (tale as old as time..), but I was living outside the city at my parents house, and he was in Brooklyn. We texted on and off for a few months, and when I returned to New York, we immediately connected and have not left each other's side since.”

Dani & Alex chose opted for an intimate NYC Town Hall elopement, so that they could be fully present on their wedding day, with a stunning reception the following day, at One If By Land, Two If By Sea in West Village, NYC. Their wedding was featured in Anti-Bride! I absolutely LOVED every detail of this day. Dani has the coolest vintage style and wanted her wedding say to be very unique. I loved the emphasis on the red and greens, two very bold colors that are not typically chosen for a bridal style! They truly made her stand out so beautifully.

As a NYC intimate wedding photographer, I absolutely love capturing unique days such as Dani & Alex’s stunning wedding reception. Nothing is more exciting that strolling through the streets of West Village with your partner, capturing these stunning portraits! I worked with the absolute best team of vendors who made this stunning day possible.

The West Village in New York City is a captivating blend of historic charm and contemporary vibrancy. Tree-lined streets are adorned with brownstone buildings, each telling a story of the past while housing modern cafes, boutiques, and art galleries. The ambiance is enhanced by the subtle bustle of pedestrians enjoying the area's unique offerings, from artisanal bakeries to quaint bookstores. Washington Square Park serves as a communal hub, where artists and musicians often showcase their talents, adding to the district's rich cultural tapestry. The architectural diversity and lively atmosphere make the West Village a picturesque neighborhood that continues to enchant both locals and visitors alike.

An intimate wedding offers a unique opportunity for a deeper connection among the couple and their closest friends and family. With a smaller guest list, couples can focus on meaningful interactions and create personalized experiences that reflect their love story. This setting allows for greater intimacy during the ceremony, as well as the chance to incorporate custom details that resonate with the couple and their guests. Additionally, intimate weddings often reduce stress and can be more cost-effective, enabling couples to allocate their budget toward elements that hold true significance for them. Overall, the simplicity and warmth of an intimate wedding can foster unforgettable memories in an atmosphere filled with love and support.
